LAST STEAMER, ULLSWATER

"Sunset over Ullswater in February 2008.

The weather was calm as the last steamer of the day, the Lady of the Lake, passes Skelly Nab and Gowbarrow Bay on its way back to Glenridding.

The image brings back fond memories as the pale building in the foreground is Old Church Hotel where my wife and I stayed on our wedding night. The summits of Whiteside and Raise dominate the view beyond."
